My first interaction with Desert Stream Ministries was attending a Living Waters Training program on the tiny island kingdom of Bahrain. Yes, this ministry’s reach continues to amaze me!

As a victim of sexual abuse, I had learned to internalize everything that had happened while living a life that I wasn’t proud of – one that was harmful both to myself and those closest to me. Something had to give and eventually I found myself on my knees, reaching out to the Father and finding forgiveness, mercy and grace in abundance.

At the Living Waters Training, my soul was refreshed and revived – deep inner healing mine for the taking! It was also around this time that I met my husband, Jonathan – more proof that God doesn’t just redeem, He restores! We have been married for close to 12 years and have been blessed with three wonderful boys who never fail to keep things interesting.

It feels like life has come full circle where I have been blessed with the opportunity to serve in this ministry that has been so vital in my journey to healing. There may be highs and lows in life but, like the woman at the well, I have seen and believe that only in Jesus am I truly satisfied.
