Radiant Jesus Names the Confused

The young woman looked boyish but wanted Jesus. She was happy to engage a bit after the service. We prayed. The Holy Spirit confirmed her unique sexual self: ‘You are much loved by the Father, utterly unique and utterly woman.’ She liked that. Being true didn’t require LGBTQ+ labels.

As the Source of our humanity, Jesus knows who we are. He made us and so He knows us; He has an absolute authority to name the man or woman that we are. Precisely because ‘we see through a glass darkly’ (1 Cor. 13:12), we need simple, loving clarity. So, He activates Jesus-people who know better.

What a gift to receive the prophecy decades ago from a roving ‘see-er’ who saw beyond my dodgy posture and platform shoes and declared me to be ‘Andrew, God’s masculine son.’ No one ever saw or said that to me before. And in a church!

It confirmed me while provoking me to keep growing. Jesus knew it would have been easy in my ‘gay’ beach town to settle for ‘gay’ Christianity. He sent an inspired Christian who would speak for Him and declare otherwise—a good-enough man and son of the Father!

Will you be the Church who moves straightforwardly to name creation according to Jesus, Creator and Redeemer? He has reconciled all things to His Father through the Cross (Col. 1:15-20). Now, in the Spirit, will we declare who one is, especially as forces of darkness seek to conform a generation to lesser selves, sexually speaking?

Like you, I encounter men and women daily whose sex is unrecognizable. I am confused, not disgusted (watch out for that). If I am disoriented by him or her, imagine friends and family members!

The devil convinces empty souls to assume false sexual selves. Let us be the Church who knows better and names a person according to who he or she is. Jesus won back our sexual clarity. Today is the Day for you, the Church, to confirm every radiant self.

‘Thank You Jesus for the springing up of prophecy! You give this gift freely for the purpose of blessing and building others up in Your truth (1 Cor. 14:1-4). We eagerly desire this gift, especially related to the sexually confused. Send Your Word and heal them, we pray. Use us, as You will.’

‘Father, we thank You for Jesus who established the Church on a Rock against which hell will not prevail (Matt 16:18). We pray for every Christian leader to build on Her firm foundation of sexual clarity and integrity. Father, unmask the deceiver and divider of Christians and unite us in one Spirit. As weak members of Christ, we ask for truth to guide our pursuit of sexual wholeness, for grace to sustain it, and for spiritual power to transform us. May we reflect the chaste radiance of Jesus (2 Cor. 3:18) as we “shine like stars in the universe, holding out the word of life” (Phil. 2:15-16) to a lost and hurting world.’
